Philip was a partner in two highly-respected West Yorkshire architectural practices before joining SMC Gower Architects in 2005 when his own Leeds-based firm, Philip Lees & Associates, was acquired in 2005.
He has been involved in many well-known commercial, residential, retail, leisure and industrial schemes throughout Yorkshire and says he entered the architectural profession “through a desire to make good buildings in attractive spaces.”
He enjoys his job “because of the varied work and the joy of making things.” A guiding hand behind the company’s growth, Philip says that good architecture “must deliver firmness, commodity and delight.”
