SMC Gower Architects were appointed to undertake a feasibility study for the redevelopment of a portion of the former site of the Glasshoughton Colliery.
The final scheme is now at pre application discussion stage with the Local Planning Authority, and comprises a 13,000 seater capacity stadium, 240,000 sqft of commercial offices, including a proposed 10 storey landmark building and a 240 bed three and four star hotel.
The site is located within the newly created ’Urban Park’, and will provide a flagship regeneration development solution for this former colliery site.
